RV 9 - VENETIAN BRENTA
FROM VALSUGANA TO THE VENETIAN VILLAS OF THE RIVIERA
The Venetian Brenta cycle path is the natural continuation of the Valsugana cycle path, which the Autonomous Province of Trento plans to complete in 2023 by linking Pergine and the chief town. With the works scheduled to begin soon also in the Veneto, in particular to the north and south of Bassano del Grappa, the idea that arose at the end of the 1990s of a large national cycle route from Venice, which should reach Trento and subsequently the Brenner and Reschen passes to connect to the more cycle-friendly parts of Europe, will finally take shape. Pending these important works, however, it is already possible to trace an adequately safe route that takes the traveller from the border with the Trentino region to the very gates of the Serenissima Republic. The itinerary we propose is therefore a pot-pourri of different solutions, from the classic cycle path, either surfaced or not, to back roads, to the single and double tracks along the banks of the Brenta. All that punctuated by ancient and whimsical small towns and great arts towns. A truly enchanting route that is not particularly challenging.
The 96 km itinerary is split up into two legs:
